On Monday 28th January, Liverpool restaurant Oktopus will host an evening of seasonal food paired with complimenting wines.
In a collaboration between the Oktopus chefs and R&H Fine Wines, they promise a menu that will cure the winter blues from 18:30 until 22:00.
Oktopus is known for serving modern European small plates to grander mains, always with a dedication to seasonal, sustainable ingredients. They work closely with local producers including farmers, fishermen, butchers and bakers to ensure that produce is used when it’s at its very best to maximise flavours.
The current menu offers main courses such as Braised Beetroot with Hung Yogurt, Pistachio Dukkah and Balsamic; Lamb Rump with Tarbais Haricot Beans, Cavolo Nero and Salsa Verde; Wild Tarbot with Brown Shrimp, Jerusalem Artichoke and Chive Noisette. The selection of desserts includes Chocolate Mousse Cake with Hung Yoghurt, Hazelnut Praline and Mulled Wine Syrup; Cornish Yarg with Blacksticks Blue and Stinking Bishop; Cheese and Port for Two.
R&H Fine Wines are in independent wine merchant in Liverpool with a gentle lean towards hand-made, old world, organic and biodynamic options.
Dishes served on the night will include meat and fish courses. Contact Oktopus to discuss dietary requirements prior to booking tickets. Tickets are available to purchase here at £50.
